‘God & Country’ documentary now available on streaming platforms

The documentary “God & Country,” a powerful exposé of Christian Nationalism, is now available for streaming online.

Directed by Dan Partland and produced by actor/filmmaker Rob Reiner, “God & Country” is based on Katherine Stewart’s 2019 book The Power Worshippers: Inside the Dangerous Rise of Religious Nationalism. The documentary features interviews with Stewart and two Americans United staff members — Vice President for Strategic Communications Andrew L. Seidel and Church & State Editor Rob Boston.

The film also highlights many Christian leaders who are critical of this dangerous ideology, among them the Rev. Dr. William Barber II, pastor and social-justice advocate; Sister Simone Campbell, former executive director of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice; David French, New York Times opinion columnist and former staff writer for National Review; Russell Moore, editor in chief of Christianity Today; and the Rev. Rob Schenck, a former Christian Nationalist leader.

“God & Country” received a theatrical release last month and won critical acclaim. It is now available to stream on Amazon Prime, Vudu, Apple TV and Google Play. More streaming services will be added later.
