
In Herndon, Va., on March 1, AU Public Policy Counsel David Carter spoke at the Floris United Methodist Church. His presentation on “Challenging Christian Nationalism” was enthusiastically received.
On March 3, AU’s Katie Gima, senior director of legal programs & networking, and Jess Zalph, constitutional litigation fellow, were guests on that week’s episode of the American Constitution Society’s “Broken Law” podcast. They discussed “Bringing the Constitution in the Classroom” and a 2027 lesson plan focused on the separation of church and state.
On March 7 in Fremont, Calif., AU Digital Fundraising Manager Camille Didelot spoke to the League of Women Voters of Fremont-Newark-Union City. In her presentation titled “Defending Our Democracy: Separation of Church and State,” Didelot explained the dangers of white Christian Nationalism. Fremont’s Niles Discovery Church hosted the event. Many in attendance learned about AU for the first time; a number of them became AU members.
In Myerstown, Pa., on March 12, AU Public Policy Counsel Rachael Stryer spoke during the Great Discussions program of the city’s community library.
