Word is getting out about Project 2025 ā a radical scheme by Christian Nationalists and their allies to remake American society along theocratic, dictatorial lines ā but most Americans still remain unaware of the threat to freedom it poses.
Education can make a difference. A recent survey found that about 75% of Americans arenāt familiar with Project 2025 ā but when its tenets were explained to them, they overwhelmingly opposed it.
That means we must get the word out, and AU is doing just that. Weāve produced a new toolkit you can use to help your friends, neighbors and others understand how Project 2025 will take away their rights and/or the rights of people they love.
This toolkit, which includes a āGuide to Talking about Project 2025,ā includes valuable resources you can use to jumpstart conversations about Project 2025.
You can share the guide in various ways, such as emailing it to friends or posting it on whatever social media platform you prefer.
But thatās not all. Americans United has also launched a national awareness campaign, centered around our clients Liz and Gabe Rutan-Ram of Tennessee, a Jewish couple denied the opportunity to foster-to-adopt a child because a taxpayer-funded, evangelical Christian foster care agency refused to serve them solely because they are Jews. This campaign is designed to make it clear that Project 2025 is no abstraction. It would cause real harm to real people.
The new AU campaign includes a video about the Rutan-Ramsā story, a new website about Project 2025 that we will be updating regularly and the toolkit.
This is the information you need. Spread the word!
