Sarah received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor of the NYU Law Review and as a student advocate in the Immigrant Rights Clinic. Following law school, Sarah clerked for the Honorable Allyne R. Ross of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Honorable Kermit V. Lipez of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Before joining Americans United, she worked at the American Civil Liberties Union National Security Project as a legal fellow. Sarah received her B.A. in Politics from Oberlin College.
