Scientologist Drug Education Enters N.Y. Public Schools

Staffers affiliated with the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, a project of the Church of Scientology, have offered presentations to students in more than 30 New York City public schools.

Critics say the foundation’s materials are based directly on the teachings of church founder L. Ron Hubbard, reported the news website DNAinfo.

CityLimits.org, an investigate news site based in New York City, reported that presentations to students pushed long-debunked pseudoscience about drug use, including claims that body fat can store drugs for years. Read more
