DOJ Disappointment: Obama Administration Wants To Help Religious Right In Supreme Court Prayer Case

For most of President Barack Obama’s time in office, there has been a pretty steady drumbeat from the Religious Right and its allies about his supposed “war on religion.” That claim, among others, was used to motivate right-wing fundamentalists to work assiduously to defeat Obama in 2012. Jim Daly recently took over president and chief executive responsibilities from James Dobson, the founder of the Religious Right outfit.

Back in June, while visiting Washington to participate in President Barack Obama's White House initiative on fatherhood, Daly praised Obama for his family values. Read more

Praying For The Stimulus Package?: White House Needs To Drop Invocations At Rallies

Earlier this week, Dan Gilgoff at U.S. News and World Report reported that President Barack Obama has started a new tradition at some of his presidential events.

On some occasions, at least, it seems Obama's opening act will be a prayer vetted by the White House. Read more
