Americans United Applauds House For Passing The NO BAN Act

More About This Issue

Americans United for Separation of Church and State President and CEO Rachel Laser issued the following statement in response to the House passing the NO BAN Act (H.R.1333) today:

“We applaud the House for passing the NO BAN Act today. The NO BAN Act is an unequivocal response to the Muslim and African Bans instituted by the Trump administration. The Muslim Ban violated the fundamental promise of religious freedom for all. The NO BAN Act will ensure that no one is denied entry to the United States based on their religion or nationality.

“The Senate needs to move forward with this historic civil rights bill. By passing the NO BAN Act, Congress will send a timely message that discrimination is unacceptable.”
