SUPREME COURT AT THE CROSSROADS: How the Presidential Election Affects the Future of Church/State Separation
Saturday, October 27
10:30 am to 12:00 noon
Bonita/Sunnyside Branch Library, 4375 Bonita Rd., Bonita, CA
A shift of one vote on the Supreme Court could determine if we remain a modern secular society or become a theocracy. The president who appoints the next justice to the Court determines our future for decades.
Please join the San Diego Chapter of Americans United in welcoming prominent Constitutional lawyer and political activist Edward "Eddie" Tabash. He will speak to us about the upcoming election, and how the outcome will affect the future of the U.S. Supreme Court.
A shift of just one vote on the Court could nullify 65 years of solid legal precedent establishing that nonbelievers be equal before the law. In this presentation, Mr. Tabash will provide specific quotes from Supreme Court justices to show the open hostility to non-believers and even religious dissenters.
