Orange County Chapter presents “Religion on the Board and in the Schools” with guest speaker Beckie Gomez

The Orange County chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State presents Beckie Gomez of the Orange County Department of Education who will speak on “Religion on the Board and in the Schools”;  she will focus on important California legislation including the FAIR Education Act which requires that California K-12 schools provide Fair, Accurate, Inclusive and Respectful representations of people with disabilities and people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender in history and social studies curriculum.

Atlantic Coast Chapter meeting, with guest speaker David Williamson

David Williamson, founder and President of the Central Florida Freethought Community and a plaintiff suing the Brevard County Commission for its overtly religious invocation policy will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Atlantic Coast Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 26th in the meeting room of the Flagler County Pubic Library Main Branch, 2500 Palm Coast Pkwy NW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.
