Justin Massey is no stranger to difficult conversations on religion and politics having got his start as an LGBTQ activist while at evangelical flagship Wheaton College - ranked his freshman year as the #1 LGBTQ unfriendly campus in the country by US News and World. He will share his experiences creating dialogue within evangelical spaces, and his work since then in politics and the LGBTQ rights movement in Orange County and across the state.
Justin Massey is a program associate for Equality California responsible for organizing Southern California Pride events and supporting EQCA's healthcare, immigration and safe schools programs. Prior to this role, Justin was a field organizer overseeing EQCA's outreach, healthcare and voter registration programs in Orange County. Before joining EQCA, Justin worked as a campaign staffer for local candidates in Orange County. He is an active member of local political and non-profit organizations including OC Young Democrats, the LGBT Center OC and Men Alive - The OC Gay Men's Chorus. Justin graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from Wheaton College in Illinois.
Our doors open at 1:15 for socializing and the meeting starts at 1:45. There is plenty of free parking and there is no charge for the meeting.
