Since the Supreme Court struck down DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act), several lawsuits around the country have been filed seeking to overturn same-sex marriage bans in various states. One has even been filed here in South Carolina by Katherine Bradacs and Tracie Goodwin, a couple from Lexington who were married in Washington, DC, but whose marriage is not legally recognized in SC. They and their attorney, Carrie Warner, will be our guest speakers.
