AU Nashville Chapter presents Rev. Dr. Kevin Riggs on “Christian Nationalism and Evangelicalism”

Join us for a discussion with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Riggs, the senior pastor of Franklin Community Church for more than thirty years. He will speak about his experience as an evangelical who has tried to stand against Christian Nationalism. Pastor Kevin believes one of the primary tasks of a pastor is to be the “conscious of the community.” He is also the founder and executive director of Franklin Community Development and Williamson County Homeless Alliance.

AU Greater Naples Chapter presents “Christian Nationalism 101: What is it? Why does it matter?”

The Interfaith Alliance of Southwest Florida and the Greater Naples Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State invites you to join them for a discussion with Rev. Paul Raushenbush, Rabbi Adam Miller, Rev. Dr. Barrion Staples, Cori Craciun and Kathy Curatolo on how to recognize Christian Nationalism and about how best to respond when you see examples. Registration is required but the event is free.

AU Orange County Chapter presents Hans Johnson on “Confronting Vitriol at School Boards”

Hans Johnson is a 30-year member of Americans United and a long-time friend of the Orange County chapter. In that time, he has tangled with and earned victories against Ralph Reed, the late Rev. Jerry Falwell and Rush Limbaugh, Betsy DeVos, and Ginni Thomas. A leader in LGBTQ+ advocacy for three decades, Hans has trained nearly 500 frontline organizers and worked in nearly all the U.S. states and D.C. He will be discussing, "Confronting Vitriol at School Boards."
