Jim McCollum is the reason his mother, Vashti, took and won the landmark McCollum v. Board of Education lawsuit, declaring unconstitutional religious devotional classes and instruction in our public schools. He, a young schoolboy, was subjected to all manner of reprisal for deciding in the 5th grade not to sign up for a Protestant class taught by a Christian missionary. Join us to hear his story.
We need a few volunteers to talk to people and help distribute promotional materials. If you are uncomfortable talking to people, you can help by bringing water, or you can assist with setup or cleanup. Please note in your response whether you can attend the entire event (9am-4pm, setup at 8am) or the time frame you can cover.
