The Ouachita Parish School Board in Monroe has just passed a resolution dubbed "Teacher Academic Freedom To Teach Scientific Evidence Regarding Controversial Scientific Subjects." The measure, enacted unanimously, declares that evolution "can cause controversy" and, therefore, teachers must be allowed to "help students understand, analyze, critique and review" the alleged "weaknesses" of evolution.
