Steve Prohm, who arrives at Iowa State after gigs at Southeastern Louisiana University, Tulane University and Murray State University, recently told the Des Moines Register that he intends to pray with his new team. The Central Savannah River Area (Georgia) Americans United Chapter Screens Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial

Before the July 19th business meeting, Americans United Central Savannah River Area Chapter will watch part II of the 2007 NOVA documentary, Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial.

Defending Discrimination: The Religious Right Is Unhappy About Americans United’s New Project To End Religion-Based Refusals

This week, Americans United launched a new initiative, Protect Thy Neighbor (PTN), which is intended to stop religious zealots from using “religious freedom” as an excuse to discriminate against others. Unsurprisingly, those who are intent on discriminating against LGBT persons and others were none too happy about AU’s announcement.

Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins took to one of FRC’s many publications to denounce AU’s work as evidence of Christian “persecution.” Read more
