Greater Houston Area AU Presents a Presidential Roundtable Discussion

On Tuesday, October 23, from 7:00-8:30 PM the Greater Houston Area AU chapter presents a Presidential Roundtable Discussion.  The event takes place at the Interactive Learning Center, Kaleidoscope Room (C-1.102), at San Jacinto College Central, 8060 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX  77505.
 
The purpose of the Presidential Roundtable is to discuss topical events surrounding the election, including women’s reproductive rights, church-state separation, gay marriage. Introductory remarks will be presented by Ben Fraser, Professor of Government, and Nancy Friedman, President of the Greater Houston AU Chapter.  Audience participation is encouraged in the second half of the program.
 
Panelists include:  Mustafaa Carroll -- Executive Director of the Houston Chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which is dedicated to presenting an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public;  Christopher Claunch -- former communications specialist in U.S.Navy, SJC graduate and student leader, and CEO of Atlas Tech; Richard Jessup -- Dominican Republic native who makes living doing worker safety consulting and training; and George Murr -- litigation attorney with national and international clients.
