Bucks County (PA)The Bucks County (PA) AU Chapter hosted Paul S. Grosswald speaking on the topic "One Nation ... Indivisible?" 

Grosswald, an attorney, was involved in a landmark Supreme Court case involving the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance in a public school.  He discussed the arguments he presented to the Supreme Court.  He also provide an update on new Pledge of Allegiance decisions that have been handed down since 2004. Following his formal presentation, Mr. Grosswald led a discussion on the best strategy for church-state separationists going forward.

Please note that Bucks County recently merged with AU's Delaware Valley Chapter.  We expect great things from them!

Indiana AU ChapterThe Indiana Chapter shared church-state information with community members at two exciting events! Market Day on the Canal, which took place on Saturday, June 5. And, Circle City Indy Pride on Saturday, June 12.  Tabling at local events is an excellent way to garner visibility in your area!

Nassau County (NY) Chapter Nassau County church-state activists are gathering at the Unitarian Universalist Church at Shelter Rock for their first organizational meeting on Thursday, June 17, at 7:30 pm.  The meeting will take place in the Art Gallery, which is located at: 48 Shelter Rock Road, Manhasset. Orange County (CA) ChapterOn Saturday, June 19th at 2:00 PM, the Orange County Chapter is hosting Hans Johnson, president of Progressive Victory. He is speaking on the topic: "Gall in the Family: The Growing Rift Within the Religious Right over LGBT Equality" Hans Johnson is an expert on labor, gay rights, religious extremism, and trends in state politics. He has worked closely with leaders of nearly every constituency in civil society, including labor, business, banking, consumer advocacy, transportation, environmentalism, immigrants, good-government, disability, civil rights, education, philanthropy, media, arts, and moderate and progressive religious institutions.

This is a program you won't want to miss!

Tennessee AU ChapterTennessee AU's biggest tabling event is Nashville Pride at Riverfront Park, Saturday, June 19. The chapter will share a space with Nashville Peace and Justice Center. This is a wonderful opportunity to share AU information with a friendly crowd -- and to get people signed up on the chapter's email activist list!
