AU Chapters are busy in March!

AU's new Austin (TX) Chapter will screen "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Separation of Church and State ... But Were Afraid to Ask!" on Tuesday, March 2, at 7:00 PM, at the Yarborough Library, 2200 Hancock Drive, in Austin.

Barry Lynn describes it as, "... a unique video that brings together celebrity commitment and civic engagement, and gives us an entertaining evening to boot!” The video is an important educational tool, presenting real stories about some of our church-state separation champions across the country. The event is free, so bring all your friends ... and a bag of popcorn!

And also on Tuesday, March 2, at 7:00 PM, the Bucks County (PA) Chapter presents Ellen Greenfield, on "The Faith of the Founding Fathers."  Ellen will discuss the results of her research on what our Founding Father's believed. Ellen's presentation will be balanced in rejecting simplistic views that America was created as a Christian nation while at the same time challenging those who argue that our Founders were atheistic separatists.

The event takes place at the Doylestown Library, 150 S. Pine Street, in Doylestown, PA.

The Nashville Chapter is hosting their annual breakfast for clergy and religious leaders on Tuesday, March 9th, at 8:00 AM

The featured guest this year is Bob Smietana, religion reporter for The Tennessean.  Of special interest to clergy will be discussion of his desire to write stories about how religion affects everyday life.  He will also comment on some local church-state issues, such as the Wilson County lawsuits, Bible distribution and the free-church day at the Wilson County Fair.

The event takes place at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 819 33rd Avenue North, in Nashville. Reservations are required, so contact Charles Sumner at if you would like to attend.

The Greater Kansas City Chapter will host AU Senior Policy Advisor Rob Boston on Saturday, March 27. Rob, and local historian Fred Whitehead, will discuss: The Truth About the Founding Father and Separation of Church and State.

The event is from 1:00-3:00 PM, at the Antoch Library (Johnson County), 8700 Shawnee Mission Parway, in Merriam, KS.  The event is free and open to the public!

And for those who like to plan ahead!

Margaret is the Founder and President of The Freethought Society of Greater Philadelphia, and an excellent and knowledgeable speaker. The talk will take place at the Doylestown Library located at 150 S. Pine St., Doylestown, PA.  You won't want to miss it!

AU's Rob Boston heads to Texas on April 22 to be the featured speaker at the Houston AU Chapter annual dinner.  Rob will share "Things I've Learned from the Religious Right." Arrive early (6:30-7:30PM) for music and a cash bar. Dinner begins at 7:30 PM and the program will start at 8:00 PM. The fun all takes place at the Marriott Westchase, 2900 Briarpark Dr., in Houston!  Be there or be square!
