Tali Israeli is the Vice President for Strategic Communications for Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
A veteran of several Washington, D.C., nonprofits and Capitol Hill offices, Tali leads an aggressive communications strategy to boost AU’s visibility as the nation’s leading organization defending the separation of church and state. Employing traditional, digital and advocacy communications, she guides the organization’s messaging strategies to the media, political leaders, the legal community and the public.
Most recently, Tali worked as Global Client and Business Development Director for Burson-Marsteller, a global public relations firm. Following the firm’s merger with Cohn & Wolfe in February 2018, she also held the title of North America New Business Lead.
Prior to that, Tali was Communications Director for Climate Action Campaign and Senior Communications Manager, Media and Public Affairs at Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. She has worked in the press offices of U.S. Reps. Frank Pallone Jr. (D-N.J.) and Allyson Schwartz (D-Pa.); in several field and communications programs for presidential, congressional and state races; and as a reporter for Greater Media Newspapers to start her career.
Tali holds a degree in journalism and creative writing from the University of Arizona; she is also a NASM certified personal trainer.
