This large charity founded by TV preacher Pat Robertson does relief work all over the world. It was criticized in the 1990s after Robertson used its planes to fly diamond-mining equipment in an out of Zaire. The Virginia Office of Consumer Affairs later asserted that Robertson had made deceptive appeals, but the state attorney general's office, then staffed with Robertson allies, ordered an end to the inquiry.
