Gary DeMar is president of American Vision, a Georgia-based group that promotes “Christian nation” views. DeMar, who holds a ministerial degree from Reformed Theological Seminary, has authored a number of books promoting his views.

Critics have accused DeMar of promoting extreme views associated with the Christian Reconstructionist movement.
