Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) has created this Privacy Policy to explain how and why personal information is collected on this Web site. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for all resources hosted at au.org and secure2.convio.net/au.

Remember Me

The Web site’s “Remember Me” feature, if active, will automatically store your username and password on your local computer for subsequent visits to the Web site. This functionality will only be available to the current operating system user (associated with the username and password used to login to the computer) and the current web browser. It is recommended that you do not use this feature if other people will have access to the computer that you are using.

Tell-A-Friend

Donation Forms

Privacy Policy

In order to fully understand your rights, you’re encouraged to read this Privacy Policy fully, in addition to the Security Policy provided on the Web site. AU reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and without notice by posting such changes on the Web site. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon posting.

Contact Information

  • AU stores all contact information voluntarily provided by Web site visitors.
  • AU does NOT share, sell, or provide your email address or phone number with or to third parties.
  • AU may share your name and mailing address with other like-minded organizations, unless explicitly requested not to do so.

Credit Card

  • AU cannot retrieve credit card information provided on the Web site after the credit card transaction has been processed.
  • All credit card information and processing is handled by Convio, Inc. and ClearCommerce.

Social Security Number, Driver’s License, etc.

  • AU will NEVER ask for you to provide your Social Security number, Driver’s License, Passport or any other personal identity information.

Cookies

  • A cookie is a small piece of information exchanged between a Web site and your browser. Your browser stores cookies in your computer’s memory.
  • The cookies provided by AU are intended to enhance the browsing experience for visitors to AU.org.
