Natalie Shapero is the Steven Gey Fellow at Americans United for Separation of Church and State. She assists Americans United attorneys with church-state cases at trial and on appeal.
She received a B.A. in creative writing from Johns Hopkins (2004), an M.F.A. in poetry from Ohio State (2008), and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School (2011). During law school, Ms. Shapero served as Articles Editor of the University of Chicago Legal Forum, and she interned at the Ohio Poverty Law Center and NYU’s Brennan Center for Justice.
Ms. Shapero is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania only. She is supervised by Ayesha N. Khan, a member of the D.C. Bar.
